Born in San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Macia holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rice University and a dual degree in medicine and public health (MD/MPH) from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, including esteemed hospitals such as Texas Children’s Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital, in 1999.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Macia has been an esteemed member of Pediatrics of Southwest Houston since 1999. The doctors and nurses at this practice treat their patients like their own – they truly spend time with you to make sure they understand the situation, whether it be a well check or sick visit. I have never felt rushed and always have the opportunity to ask questions. My daughter was scared at an appointment and brought her stuffed cat with her…Dr. Macia did a quick check-up on her cat before looking in my daughter’s throat…to this day, we still talk about when cat went to the doctor and how he did just fine 🙂 Dr. Goldberg is one in a million. You will not find a more caring, patient, and knowledgeable pediatrician. And the nursing team are wonderful – I forgot to submit my daughter’s school forms and they turned the signed copies around in less than a day! 5 stars to this wonderful office.
